How often is data updated?
eCrime.ch collects and refreshes data continuously, 24 hours a day.
New claims normally appear in the tracker after the monitoring and validation pipeline has processed them. For most sources, expect new entries within about 60 minutes of collection. Some sources can take longer when a leak site is unstable, offline, rate-limited, protected by anti-bot measures, or only intermittently reachable.
Enrichment Timing
Section titled “Enrichment Timing”After a claim is detected, eCrime.ch enriches it with additional context such as company details, country, sector, duplicate handling, leak status, screenshots, and intelligence links. Enrichment can be fast for well-structured claims, but deeper enrichment can take up to 48 hours.
Why Some Events Change Later
Section titled “Why Some Events Change Later”An event can change after it first appears because:
- the actor edits the post
- leaked data is published after an initial claim
- duplicate or related posts are merged
- enrichment data is corrected
- screenshots or file-list metadata become available later
- torrent, file-search, or actor-profile intelligence is linked after initial collection
For automation, treat event records as living intelligence objects rather than immutable alerts.
